SupplyOne acquires Specialty Container Corporation
Effective May 10, 2010, SupplyOne, Inc. acquired Specialty Container Corporation (Specialty Container) based in Dallas, Texas.
Serving the Dallas-Ft. Worth area for the past 59 years, Specialty Container is a proven leader in commercial and industrial corrugated packaging. With a full suite of service offerings including design, manufacturing, printing, storage, distribution and fulfillment, Specialty Container will complement the growing SupplyOne national footprint; providing customers with innovative, cost effective packaging solutions aimed at improving their customer’s profitability.
Jack Dale founded Specialty Container Corporation in 1951 with a vision to serve the packaging needs of the North Texas area. Over the years, Specialty Container has built a long-term reputation for personal service, resulting in quality packaging solutions and has been the oldest operating independent corrugated sheet plant in the Southwest. Since its inception, customer care and satisfaction became the catalyst for Specialty Container to become a premier corrugated supplier specializing in point of purchase displays. Robert Mulligan was named Vice President and General Manager of Specialty Container in 2005 and will continue in his capacity.
Expanding in the Southwest through this acquisition, SupplyOne will continue offering its customers the broadest range of packaging products and services available today. In addition to traditional corrugated packaging and state-of-the-art design capabilities, our combined customer base will have full access to 4-color graphics, displays, and label laminating. SupplyOne is known for its comprehensive offering of products, programs and services including: packaging supplies and equipment, plastic thermoformed products, pressure sensitive labels, Food Packaging, Retail Packaging and its unique Packaging Management Program.
